New: Brainseeker, from HTINK:
What is BrainSeeker?
Brainseeker is a tool for people to register interest in learning or teaching topics. HTINK is the company that created brainseeker, and works with instructors, spaces, and organizations to provide classes and workshops that match our student’s interests.
What happens after I register?
We will save your first name, email address, topic, and location so that if we get enough interest for the topic and location you indicated, we can contact you to either teach or learn.
How can I make sure a class happens near me?
more people sign up, the more likely we will find an instructor and space to make the class happen. Share the announcement on facebook, twitter, or via email to people who may share your interest. If you know an appropriate instructor or a space to host the event please have them register via BrainSeeker so we can contact them about helping with the class.
HTINK (pronounced “tink”- the “h” is silent) is an educational services cooperative (based on the Mondragonmodel) focused on spreading technical learning and creative problem solving skills to as many people as possible. We provide classes, workshops, and collaborative problem solving challenges for adults and children that promote hands-on learning and making. In addition to direct instruction we also provide professional development services and technical support to Schools, Community-based organizations, Makerspaces, Hackerspaces and Fablabs.
